JOB SUMMARY

The Scale Service Technician Level II executes routine and advanced calibration, preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and system installation for client weighing equipment within the Precision Measurement Group. Functions with strong autonomy to manage daily field assignments, emergency service requests, and complex multi-component systems including bench, floor, tank, and heavy-capacity truck scales. Serves as a fully proficient technical practitioner, producing accurate ISO/IEC 17025-compliant documentation, resolving elevated technical issues independently, and maintaining customer compliance without direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

OPERATIONAL & ASSET MAINTENANCE

• Collaborate with Service Coordinators for daily workflow scheduling, inventory tracking, and component sourcing.

• Upkeep assigned test standards, fleet vehicles, equipment assets, and critical shop supplies.

• Submit test weights and calibration standards punctually for scheduled recalibrations and safety inspections.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) routines on customer weighing apparatus and equipment systems.

• Conduct periodic intermediate calibration checks to preserve standards stability and ongoing measurement accuracy.

FIELD SUPPORT & PEER ENGAGEMENT

• Provide field-level peer support, assisting with onboarding and practical instruction for junior technicians on scale operations, diagnostic troubleshooting, and safety protocols.

• Act as a key branch subject matter resource for routine and intermediate technical escalations.

• Execute weighing system installations while supporting complex field projects alongside project leads and engineering teams.

TECHNICAL INTEGRATION & SYSTEM EXECUTION

• Assist with basic indicator setup and standard field parameter configurations to ensure proper operation.

• Partner with internal IT and customer technical teams during installations for seamless device communication and connectivity.

• Perform job site surveys, assisting with dimensional measurements and technical evaluations for upcoming assignments.

• Supply technical feedback to application specialists and service managers to support accurate job estimations and project scopes.

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE SUPPORT

• Generate, review, and finalize precise calibration certificates and service records aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

• Troubleshoot elevated scale failures and deliver technical remedies across diverse industrial weighing hardware.
