Phlebotomist - Float (Eastern Nassau & Western Suffolk County, NY)

Phlebotomist Float Location: Eastern Nassau & Western Suffolk County, NY (various sites: Amityville, Babylon, Bayshore, Commack, Hicksville, Huntington, Levittown, Massapequa, Plainview & Wantagh). Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled between 6:30am and 4:00pm, with rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes. Enter patient data accurately and timely in the system. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Minimum age 21 years. Pay Range $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. Float incentive: an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
