Position Summary Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute West Region Position: Orthopedic Tech Department : Orthopedics Status: Full Time - Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Location: Tampa, FL Job Summary: According to physician orders assembles and applies different types of casts and various braces. Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Assists the orthopedic surgeons as requested. Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned. Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in-service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service. Qualifications Education/Training – High school diploma or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification – Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
