Fabrication Maintenance Technician
1st shift 7am - 3:30pm

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports production uptime by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while strictly following safety procedures and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC fabrication equipment, including laser cutters, press brakes, punch presses, welding systems, and material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues to restore equipment functionality.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work to minimize production downtime.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and comply with OSHA safety requirements at all times.
- Complete, update, and accurately document maintenance work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor equipment conditions, identify emerging reliability concerns, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain spare parts inventory, track usage, and report replenishment needs to ensure parts availability.
- Support facility maintenance activities, including lighting, compressed air systems, and minor building repairs.
- Participate in daily maintenance planning and communication meetings to align on priorities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
- Adhere to maintenance best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings or blueprints.
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management and documentation.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including equipment diagnostics and root cause analysis.
- Experience with pneumatic systems maintenance, including valves, lines, and controls.
- Experience with hydraulic systems maintenance, including pumps, cylinders, and hoses.
- Demonstrated experience performing preventive maintenance (PM) and following PM schedules.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety compliance requirements.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment repair, particularly CNC machines and fabrication equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to maintenance best practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment and basic understanding of PLC operations.
- PLC troubleshooting experience (preferred).
- Manufacturing or metal fabrication industry experience (preferred).
- CNC equipment maintenance experience, particularly in precision sheet metal fabrication (preferred).
- Experience with brake presses, including Amada press brake equipment.
- in machining and working with CNC machines.
- Experience supporting facility maintenance, including compressed air systems and building utilities.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with equipment commissioning, including setup and validation of new machinery.
- Familiarity with equipment diagnostics and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Strong team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate across departments.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing and precision sheet metal fabrication environment, with a mix of production floor and maintenance shop activities. You will work around industrial machinery and moving equipment, with moderate to high noise levels and variable temperature conditions. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided in accordance with safety policies. The position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching, as well as occasional work at heights and in confined spaces. The environment is fast-paced and requires quick responses to equipment downtime, along with regular collaboration with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
(This position will train in Bonham TX. Rowlett facility set to open min August 2026.Additional Compensation: Candidates working temporarily at the Bonham facility will receive an additional $2.00 per hour premium through August 20, when operations transition to the Rowlett facility.) - not required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $79040.00/yr. Time off benefits 401k medical, dental, vision short term disability company paid life insurance
