Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse specializing in Stroke Stepdown care is needed for a facility position in the area. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for adult patients with conditions such as stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, COPD, CHF, and pneumonia. This full-time night shift position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting adult patient care.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse for Stroke Stepdown Unit
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM (12 hours per shift)
• Schedule: 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid active New York RN license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, minimum 2 years of recent experience in medical surgical nursing with stroke stepdown experience, experience with electronic medical records (Epic), valid drivers license matching demographics, and up-to-date resume showing travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in adult med-surg units, proficiency with IV pumps, nasogastric (N/G) tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. Candidates must include RTO preferences at the time of submission. The position covers adult patient demographics with diagnoses including stroke and pulmonary issues, among others, on a 64-bed unit.
