About the Role
The Company is a national philanthropic organization with a strong focus on the well-being of children, particularly those marginalized by racism, xenophobia, and economic inequality. The organization is seeking a Vice President of Programs to play a key role in its new strategic framework, which is grounded in social justice and aims to be a connector and bridge-builder across research, policy, and social movements. The successful candidate will work closely with the President to deepen the organization's strategy and will be instrumental in leveraging various tools, including grantmaking, thought leadership, relationship and field-building, convening, and communications, to support ambitious change. The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Programs position at the company will have a deep commitment to social justice and a proven track record in the philanthropic sector. Responsibilities for this role include guiding the strategic framework, leading the grants function, and ensuring that the organization's work is in line with its mission to advance social justice for young children. The role requires a strategic thinker who can operate with intention and agility, and who is adept at funding coalitions, advocates, researchers, and community-rooted organizations.
