This role delivers forward-looking insights, owns executive-level financial reporting, and partners closely with senior leadership to drive profitable growth, governance, and compliance.The Senior Director will oversee enterprise forecasting and budgeting, optimize FP&A systems and reporting tools, and ensure alignment between internal management reporting and external financial disclosures. This role works extensively with the C-suite, divisional leadership, and investors’ stakeholders in a public-company environment.Key Internal CustomersC-suite and Executive Leadership TeamDivision Presidents and CFOsFunctional LeadersSite ControllersWhat You’ll Do:Financial Reporting LeadershipOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity under tight deadlinesLead monthly results and forecast review meetingsProduce internal management reporting for divisions, CODM, and Carlyle Management reportingSupport quarterly Board materials, earnings releases, and public filings (10-Q, 10-K)Design, optimize, and maintain the general ledger structure in partnership with AccountingSupport platform reporting and eliminate dormant or unused ledger stringsPrepare and deliver executive dashboards and performance summaries (PowerBI operational metrics used in MBR reporting & quarterly share and AIP reporting)Ensure consistency between internal management reports and external financial statementsEstablish meaningful reporting standardsStructure ledger to support both internal and external reporting objectivesDisaggregate COGS for improved analysis and comparabilitySupport quarterly reviews and annual audits, including variance/flux analysis and goodwill and intangible asset testingSupport M&A activity, including purchase price allocationForecasting & BudgetingLead enterprise forecasting and budgeting processes across all divisionsProvide tools, guidance, and governance to the Controller community for accurate Oracle system inputsPresent forecast results during monthly and quarterly business reviewsAnalytical Insight & Decision SupportDevelop and manage KPI frameworks across financial and operational metricsProvide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and capital allocationLead variance analysis versus plan, forecast, and prior yearSystems & Process OptimizationOwn FP&A and reporting systems and tools (Oracle, Wands, PowerBI, etc.)Standardize forecasting methodologies, chart of accounts, and reporting processesDrive automation, scalability, and data integrityPartner with IT and Accounting to maintain a single source of truthBusiness PartnershipAct as a trusted advisor to the C-suite, divisional leadership, and functional headsSupport executive decision-making with clear, timely, and actionable financial insightsPresent findings and recommendations to senior finance and executive leadershipTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A teamFoster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvementPartner with HR on talent development and succession planningGovernance & ComplianceMaintain strong internal controls across planning and reporting processesEnsure SOX compliance and audit readiness in partnership with Accounting and Internal AuditUphold the highest standards of integrity and financial governancePosition Requirements:Must be authorized to work in the USAbility to work on site at corporate headquarters (Scottsdale, AZ)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field12+ years of progressive accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting experience in a public company environmentExperience interacting with Investor Relations and supporting the full reporting cycle from preliminary close through public releaseExpert-level knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger structures, and public company reporting rhythmsDeep understanding of SOX, internal controls, and audit readinessAdvanced analytical, financial modeling, and executive storytelling skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilitiesUnquestioned integrity and ability to operate under pressurePreferred Characteristics:CPA strongly preferredMaster’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBAExperience with enterprise planning and analytics platforms (Oracle ERP, Power BI)Benefits that make life better:Comprehensive healthcare coverage401(k) with 100% company match up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- and Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning and professional development opportunities#CORPFUNCTIONS#LI-CC1Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
