Nurse Practitioner
$60 - $70 per hourAlura Workforce Solutions
Nurse Practitioner / Clinic Director / Men's Health and Wellness
Location: Memorial, Houston, TX Compensation: $60.00–$70.00 per hour Position Type: Part-time, with the potential for additional days as the clinic grows Current Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Work Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Men's Health and Wellness Shift: Day shift; no weekends
The clinic is currently open on Mondays and Wednesdays. Scheduled days may change or expand as patient volume grows, so some scheduling flexibility is preferred.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and personable Nurse Practitioner to serve as the clinical leader during scheduled clinic hours at its Memorial-area Houston location.
This position combines direct patient care, clinic leadership, patient education, treatment-plan development, and collaboration with the clinic's Medical Assistants, reception staff, supervising physician, and ownership team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment and the confidence to discuss sensitive men's health concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and make clinically appropriate recommendations. The successful candidate must also be comfortable building relationships with patients, supporting continuity of care, and contributing to the clinic's patient-retention and growth goals.
Direct experience in testosterone replacement therapy or erectile dysfunction treatment is highly desirable but not required. Specialized protocols and treatments can be taught to an experienced Nurse Practitioner with the right clinical foundation, personality, leadership presence, and willingness to learn.
Essential Qualifications
The most important qualifications for this position include:
- At least two years of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Current and confident phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Comfort discussing testosterone, erectile dysfunction, sexual health, weight management, male anatomy, and other sensitive men's health concerns
- A confident, personable, and persuasive communication style
- The ability to educate patients and clearly explain clinically appropriate treatment recommendations without creating a high-pressure experience
- The ability to establish trust with patients who may initially be hesitant or skeptical about treatment
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to operate with appropriate independence
- Leadership presence and the ability to oversee the clinical environment during scheduled shifts
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care and clinic operations
Experience in men's health, urology, endocrinology, primary care, general practice, concierge medicine, wellness, hormone therapy, or another highly patient-facing specialty is preferred.
About Our Client
Founded in Southern California, our client is a growing network of men's health clinics with corporate and franchise locations nationwide.
The organization specializes in testosterone replacement therapy, erectile dysfunction treatment, weight management, platelet-rich plasma treatments, and other services designed to help men improve their health and quality of life.
The clinic was created to give men a comfortable, efficient, and high-quality healthcare experience. Rather than a traditional medical-office atmosphere, the clinic offers a welcoming "man cave" environment featuring leather chairs, flat-screen televisions, hardwood floors, and sports memorabilia.
The clinic also operates an in-house laboratory and performs patient testing on-site. Testosterone results can generally be available within approximately 15 minutes, allowing patients to receive timely information and efficient care.
Clinical Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner / Clinic Director will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical protocols and all applicable professional requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate patients for low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, weight-management needs, and other men's health concerns
- Review patient histories, symptoms, laboratory findings, medications, contraindications, and treatment goals
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs, laboratory results, and medical diagnoses
- Prescribe testosterone therapy, medications, and other treatments under appropriate physician supervision and in accordance with state regulations, clinical protocols, and practice guidelines
- Educate patients and, when appropriate, their families about testosterone replacement therapy and other available treatments
- Explain the potential benefits, risks, expectations, and follow-up requirements associated with treatment
- Provide or support erectile dysfunction treatments, including GainsWave, P-Shot, and Trimix
- Perform blood draws and support the clinic's on-site laboratory process
- Administer intramuscular injections and platelet-rich plasma injections
- Conduct comprehensive men's health, wellness, and aesthetic consultations as applicable
- Monitor patients' treatment progress, symptoms, laboratory results, medication response, and overall health
- Modify patient-management plans when clinically appropriate
- Provide continuity of care through consistent follow-up and long-term patient management
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate patient documentation
- Comply with all federal, state, and local legal, regulatory, and professional requirements
Clinic Director and Leadership Responsibilities
In addition to providing direct patient care, the Nurse Practitioner will serve as the clinical leader during scheduled clinic hours.
Leadership responsibilities include:
- Help oversee the daily clinical operation of the clinic
- Promote a professional, welcoming, and patient-focused environment
- Work closely with Medical Assistants, reception staff, the supervising physician, and clinic ownership
- Support staff communication, workflow coordination, and an efficient patient experience
- Provide clinical guidance and leadership to members of the clinic team
- Help ensure that established protocols, documentation standards, and compliance requirements are followed
- Address clinical questions and appropriately escalate matters requiring physician involvement
- Support patient retention by developing trust, providing responsive follow-up, and reinforcing treatment adherence
- Help maintain clinic census, patient-service, retention, and performance goals
- Identify opportunities to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and the overall clinic experience
- Represent the clinic with professionalism, credibility, and sound medical judgment
Required Credentials
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas
- Active license in good standing
- Active DEA certificate
- Active controlled-substance registration, if required
- Ability to prescribe and manage medications within the applicable scope of practice
- No current or pending malpractice lawsuits or claims
- Current phlebotomy and venipuncture competency
- Résumé required for consideration
Preferred Experience
Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:
- Testosterone replacement therapy
- Erectile dysfunction evaluation and treatment
- Men's sexual health
- Urology
- Endocrinology
- Primary care or general practice
- Concierge medicine
- Weight management
- Hormone optimization
- GainsWave or shockwave therapy
- Trimix
- P-Shot or other PRP treatments
- Intramuscular and PRP injections
- Wellness, medical spa, or aesthetic services
Candidates who do not have direct experience in every treatment area may still be considered if they possess the required clinical foundation, phlebotomy skills, confidence, communication ability, and willingness to complete specialized training.
Compensation and Professional Support
- $60.00–$70.00 per hour
- Monthly and annual performance-based bonus or commission opportunities
- Company-paid DEA registration
- Company-paid state licensure
- Company-paid medical malpractice insurance
- Training in established men's health treatments and clinical protocols
- Potential for additional scheduled days as patient volume grows
- Potential for expanded leadership or management responsibilities in the future
This is an opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who wants to develop specialized expertise in men's health, build meaningful patient relationships, and serve as a clinical leader within a growing practice.
