Chief Compliance Officer

The client is seeking to fill a Chief Compliance Officer position to oversee the bank's administrative, lending, and operational compliance activities. This role involves participating in various committees, audits, and examinations while performing duties as the Bank Secrecy Act/OFAC Officer, Community Reinvestment Act Officer, and Privacy Officer. The officer will develop, implement, and manage the bank's Compliance Management Program and will serve as the chairperson of the Compliance Committee, assisting state and federal auditor inquiries and advising the Board of Directors and Senior Management on compliance issues. Key responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of applicable banking rules and regulations, conducting quality control reviews, and ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and OFAC requirements. The role also involves managing relationships with community organizations and implementing programs to fulfill Community Reinvestment Act compliance goals. Additional duties encompass overseeing internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy in banking disclosures, administering forms, and conducting compliance training for personnel. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and bring a strong understanding of compliance in the banking industry. The position requires superior decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle inquiries and requests effectively. The Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for special projects and reporting, supporting the bank's goals and values, and using compliance activities to aid in employee development. The position may also involve engagement in outside activities that benefit the bank.
