Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Position Summary Schedule: Fulltime, Mid Shift. Location: Lebanon, KY. Spring View Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health. As a registered nurse (RN) in the emergency department, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients on an 11-bed unit. Responsibilities Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency; utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Qualifications RN license required. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire. One year of experience preferred.
