Medical AssistantWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, direct patient care and support to providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a professional and efficient manner.Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Medical Assistant, you'll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.Medical Assistant Essential Functions:Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary formsMaintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operationPrepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providersSet up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinationsCommunicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and careProvide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visitEnsure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHAAssist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as neededPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operationsMedical Assistant Required Skills/Abilities:Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policiesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionallyProficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records managementHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when neededFamiliarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systemsExcellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectivelyProven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionAdaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCommitted to providing exceptional patient care and customer serviceDemonstrates the ability to meet performance goals and deadlines consistentlyMedical Assistant Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredOne year of prior experience in pediatric office and proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.Part-time Benefits:VisionFlexible Spending AccountsMetLife Auto/Vehicle & Home Insurance Discounts
