Serving Mattoon and the surrounding regional community, you will capture significant unmet patient demand for general medical dermatology, skin cancer screenings, surgical excision, and specialized Mohs micrographic procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the operational setup, clinical workflow design, and strategic rollout of a brand-new, comprehensive Dermatology and Mohs Surgery service lineProvide expert outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical management for skin cancers (BCC, SCC, melanoma) and complex medical dermatological conditionsPerform Mohs micrographic surgeries, histopathologic tissue interpretations, and reconstructive procedures upon establishing operational facility capabilitiesServe as the founding clinical authority in establishing clinical protocols, purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, and guiding clinic layout designEstablish a strong referral pipeline by collaborating with regional primary care physicians, general surgeons, oncologists, and advanced practice providersFoster a patient-centered care environment while maintaining high clinical quality and safety standardsQualificationsGraduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO)Successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Dermatology residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in DermatologyFellowship training or documented proficiency in Mohs Surgery is strongly preferredActive, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or eligible for state licensure)Active DEA registration and Illinois Controlled Substance License (CSR)Demonstrated clinical leadership ability, vision, and enthusiasm for establishing a new service line from the ground upBenefits$100,000 sign-on bonus that is completely forgiven over four (4) years of serviceCompetitive, standard long-term retention bonus structures$6,000 annual CME allowance, dedicated CME days for continuous professional development, and 100% coverage for professional state license fees and renewalsUp to $15,000 in dedicated relocation assistanceFully paid medical malpractice insurance coverage, including complete tail coverage at no cost to youHigh-end health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance policiesExtremely competitive retirement plan with robust employer-funded contributionsNote on Compensation: The listed compensation range is tentative and represents the initial base benchmark.
