Position Summary: The Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and administration of the company’s Safety & Health Program at both the project and corporate levels. This role ensures compliance, maintains records, and actively promotes a safe work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support implementation of the company’s Safety & Health Program
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions
• Maintain safety compliance systems (ISNetworld, PEC, PICS)
• Track incidents, near-misses, and safety metrics
• Assist in development and updates of safety programs and manuals
• Conduct safety inspections and support audits
• Maintain OSHA logs and workers’ compensation records
• Coordinate safety training and maintain certification records
• Participate in incident investigations
• Support preparation of safety reports and documentation

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficiency with computers and data systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Health, or related field
• OSHA certifications or equivalent

Supervisory Responsibility:

 

None. Although the safety coordinator will be expected to support supervisors with safety enforcement.

Working Conditions

 

• Travel to project sites across the U.S.
• Combination of field and office work

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in industrial environments including refineries, plants, and construction sites
• Frequent standing, walking, and climbing over uneven surfaces
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to wear required PPE including hard hats, respirators, and protective clothing
