Adjunct Economics InstructorCollege of the Mainland is seeking Adjunct Economics Instructors.Position Type: AdjunctEmployment Status: Part TimeMinimum Education/Training/Experience: Master's degree or higher in Economics OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Economics. Teaching experience.Preferred Education/Training/Experience: Can teach face-to-face courses. Dual credit and online teaching experience.Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Principles and practices of teaching; Detailed knowledge of materials being taught in the specific course and program area; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction; Basic computer literacy sufficient to perform job duties; Knowledge of student engagement techniques, learning styles, retention strategies, and learning-centered philosophy; Experience with or willingness to learn the latest teaching/learning technologies and online instruction; and Record keeping procedures.Preferred Knowledge & Skills: Familiar with D2L Ability to create original lecture videos/audio for online coursesJob Duties: Classroom and/or Online assignment(s) as needed. The most immediate need is for 1-2 lecture classes in a live classroom format (on campus).Licensing/Certification Requirements: N/APhysical Requirements: Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
