Description The Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, is looking for an Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty member who has completed a doctorate level degree in an engineering discipline. The ideal candidate would have completed a post doctorate position(s) in an engineering program with emphasis on cardiothoracic innovations. Specifically, the ideal candidate would join current Emory cardiothoracic surgeons in developing novel treatments & devices to improve outcomes for aortic surgeries. The candidate would be responsible for routing 2-3 proposals annually in partnership with current faculty to obtain independent funding by year 3. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in‑person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
