Senior Accounting Manager

Job Description Our client is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager-level consultant to support their accounting organization during a critical growth phase. This is a highly hands‑on leadership role where the individual will immediately own key accounting processes and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working in both public and private companies, has participated in a pre‑IPO environment, and comes from a technology manufacturing background with significant inventory accounting responsibility. This person must have owned month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, managed accounting teams, and possess strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP. They should have experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, audits, tax support, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives. The client is specifically looking for someone who can assess current accounting processes, identify areas of improvement, and help strengthen reporting and operational effectiveness while partnering across Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations. PRE‑IPO Experience Public, and Private Company Experience. Technology/Manufacturing Experience Strong experience with financial reporting, consolidations, account reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and variance analysis. Experience with inventory accounting in a manufacturing environment. Proven knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting areas such as: Lease Accounting (ASC 842) Stock‑Based Compensation (ASC 718) Capitalized Software (ASC 350‑40) Inventory Accounting (ASC 330) Experience supporting external audits, tax filings, and government reporting requirements. Experience developing, maintaining, or improving internal controls and accounting processes. Demonstrated success driving process improvements within the accounting function, particularly around close efficiency and reporting. Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams including FP&A, HR, Legal, and Operations. NetSuite ERP experience.
