Diesel Mechanic

Hillandale Farms is in search of a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Bozrah CT!

What will you be doing?

• Diagnose and repair tractors, trailers, including air brakes, tires, suspension, refrigeration units, starters, doors alternators
• Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using available equipment, resources and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
• Complete proper documentation on work orders
• Maintain established industry DOT standards
• Work efficiently and make repairs within the recommended time frame
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Contribute to helping others and overall teamwork
• Emergency road calls and repairs on and off site as required
• Focus on job completion as all jobs are approached with a sense of urgency
• Understand and interpret technical data
• Complete repair orders
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• Must have a valid driver's license – CDL Class A license preferred but not required
• High school / technical certificate
• Acceptable driving record
• Mechanical experience preferred
• Must acquire and maintain an EPA license
• If required, overnight travel to industry classes
• Must be able to move a minimum of 100 lbs.
• Manual/physical labor
• Attendance a MUST!
