Camden Center is a medical organization established and operated by physicians, and is founded on the principles of clinical excellence, compassionate care, and respect for our patients.About The PositionThe medical coordinator is responsible for providing clinical and technical support in the provision of general medical and psychiatric care to patients. This position co-reports directly to the Administrative Director and Medical Leadership.ResponsibilitiesCore duties and responsibilities include:Scheduling outside medical orders and referralsPerforming phlebotomyCollecting blood and urine samples for patient's medical careCoordinating medication supply and refills with case management and residential teamsConducting wellness intakes and checks for patients. Consists of obtaining the patient's height, weight, vitals etcKnowledge of EKGsFamiliarity working with patients with mental health disordersCollaborating with the Medical Logistics team and practitioners on protocols and patient careAssisting with urine drug screening and medical lab ordersCollecting medical and medication history for new patientsProviding support with charting, emailing, and data collectionObtaining release of information from appropriate providers, individuals, and facilities to obtain medical records and other relevant informationUsing tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential informationAbility to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality attention to detailDemonstrate high levels of professionalism when communicating in person, by email, or by phoneWillingness to receive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) trainingOther duties as assigned by the direct or indirect supervisorProfessional RequirementsLicensed Vocational Nurse in good standingAt least one-year medical office experience requiredKnowledge and ability to practice aseptic technique when assisting with proceduresAbility to triage medical/psychiatric problems within scope of job responsibilitiesAbility to take direction from physicians, managers, and providers, and work collaboratively with all levels of management, staff, patients, and vendorsInterpersonal skills to work with patients and staff of diverse educational, economic, and cultural backgroundsWorking knowledge of medical terminologyThorough understanding of HIPAA regulations, requirements, and guidelinesAbility to work in a fast-paced setting with conflicting demandsProfessional and enthusiastic attitude and demeanor, with a belief in patient-centered careAbility to work with emotionally vulnerable patients and digital technology (including email and technology devices)Skill in establishing and maintaining complex filing systems, organizing work flow to meet deadlines, and setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilitiesSkill in exchanging ideas and opinions with others to increase efficiency of office proceduresWorking knowledge of Google Suite, and various software programsAbility to independently perform and complete assignments with minimal direction and supervisionLegal RequirementsMust be able to legally work in the United States and provide documentation (2 forms of ID and/or Green Card)Must be able to sit and stand at length (up to 8 hours)Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 poundsMust be able to kneel, bend, and squat40 hours/week. Pay range is $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr commensurate with experience.
