Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Float Pool

Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center - Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $24.50 - $33.75 per hour (actual pay rate depends on experience) Position Highlights Floats to all Behavioral Health Inpatient units, The Link, BHS Urgent Care, and Behavioral Health Adolescent Addiction Unit Opportunity to experience a variety of inpatient settings Work with staff from many areas Average 1 LPN for 7-8 patient ratio 100% self-schedule Job Overview The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health care provider. The LPN organizes and directs nursing care, coordinates with defined nursing diagnoses, and works with health team members. Work schedule: 72hrs/2 weeks, every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday rotation. What you will do Collect data and conduct focused nursing assessments of patients. Participate in the development and modification of patient-centered health care plans. Implement nursing interventions within the care plan. Assist in evaluating responses to interventions. Ensure maintenance of safe and effective nursing care. Advocate for the best interests of patients. Communicate and collaborate with patients and health care team. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to execute the care plan. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours.
