About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Interventional scrub experience; minimum of one year of EP experience required; experience in high volume/high level of acuity Cath lab. Description: Registered Nurse needed for Cath Lab. Ratios are 1:1. Shifts include rotating 0700-1730 and 1000-2030 as needed. Candidates with level 1 trauma experience are preferred. Will work in a diagnostic and interventional PCI environment. Conscious sedation will be provided under the direction of the attending physician. Responsibilities include handoff of sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documentation in the EPIC system. Cross training to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role may occur. Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, Afib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome. Special equipment includes the EPIC documentation system, Impella, and IABP. All travelers will float within the service line as needed. Clinical staff may be required to be on call on a rotating basis, which includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted. Candidates must have experience in a high acuity environment to be successful in the procedural area.
