About the Position
Yard Smart ishiring Snow Shovelers / Sidewalk Crew Members to help keep commercial properties safe and accessible throughout the winter.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that is critical to a successful snow operation. You don't need to be an equipment operator — we need dependable people who are willing to work hard and show up when the snow hits.
What You'll Do
- Shovel and clear snow from sidewalks, entrances, steps, ramps, and other pedestrian areas
- Apply salt and ice-melt products as directed
- Clear snow around doors, fire lanes, dumpsters, and other designated areas
- Assist equipment operators and plow drivers as needed
- Watch for icy or hazardous conditions and report them to supervisors
- Follow assigned routes and property-specific instructions
- Work safely around moving vehicles and snow-removal equipment
- Help clean and maintain snow-removal tools and equipment
What We're Looking For
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work outside in snow, cold, wind, and other winter conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Ability to repeatedly shovel, push, lift, and move snow
- Comfortable working overnight, early morning, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to respond when called for a snow event
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous snow-removal experience is a plus, but not required

Schedule
Snow removal is weather-dependent . Hours can vary significantly depending on snowfall and may include overnight shifts, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
Seasonal winter position with the potential for additional work based on company needs.
