Senior Project Manager

Job TitleQualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, Arizona Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, or the ability to obtain same through reciprocity, plus a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in residential and commercial land development. Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of ten (10) years of management experience supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.Candidates for this position must demonstrate:Strong independent thought and decision-making abilitiesEstablishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients, public-agency personnel, and in-house staffHigh level leadership, management ability, and seasoned time managementHigh level respect and confidence from co-workers to public agenciesHigh level competence in written and oral communicationCandidates managerial experience must include the following:Supervision of engineering design teamsManagement of project schedules and budgetsPreparation and management of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of workSignificant experience in client and public-agency interactionsAccepts and carries out responsibility for the design team's direction, control and planning; sets realistic goals, and makes plans independentlyCandidates technical experience must include the following:Site assessment and the ability to perform engineering design studiesPreparation/processing of all related improvement plans in support of private land development projectsAbility to perform constructability reviews and site construction conformance evaluationsExperienced in construction support servicesAutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam experienceAdditional Skills:Possesses working knowledge of:Business and management principles associated with strategic planningResource allocationLeadership techniquesProduction proceduresInterview, and hiring methodsThe coordination of peopleExhibits a thorough understanding of jurisdictional processingDemonstrated and meaningful involvement with community and industry organizations related to marketing opportunities and relationship building
