What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, or operational concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with post procedures.
• Support emergency and service-related response efforts by helping with access control, perimeter awareness, and/or traffic direction during outages, repairs, or other site events.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
