Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for cardiovascular (open-heart) surgical cases, with the ability to support general OR as needed
• Utilize the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of two years of CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record charting required
• Minimum of one year of experience in a related nursing specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience supporting general OR cases in addition to cardiovascular surgery
