Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach

Position Description Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member ofthe Metro Conference (Metro), is seeking applications for assistantcoach within their Strength and Conditioning departmental unit. Thestrength and conditioning coaches will report directly to theAssistant AD/Athletic Performance/Head Strength and Conditioning.This is an eight (8) month position running through the end of Maywith the possibility of renewal upon a favorable evaluation. Thesuccessful candidate must comply with all Strength and Conditioningdepartment and Manhattan University Athletic Department Policiesand Procedures. Job Responsibilities The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting inall aspects of the strength and conditioning program including butnot limited to: program design and implementation for assignedteams, meetings with sport coaches and sports medicine staff,facility management, equipment maintenance, daily set up and breakdown, etc. The selected candidates will be responsible for aspects ofdesign, development, implementation, monitoring and assessment ofthe strength and conditioning programs for multiple Olympic sportsas assigned and operate under direct supervision from the HeadStrength and Conditioning Coach. Candidates will work closely withthe sports medicine staff in providing injury rehabilitation. This position requires working early mornings, nights,weekends, and occasional holidays. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field. Possess a nationally recognized certification (SCCC) by theCollegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and/or(CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Be certified in AED/CPR and First Aid.
