Cardiovascular Surgical Physician Assistant

Join our award winning, nationally top ranked Cardiology and Open Heart Cardiovascular Surgical team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant! Serving a population of over 300,000 people, our nurse practitioner and physician assistant teams see cases flown in from all over the state of Tennessee. The primary focus of this position is to first assist in surgery including endoscopic vein harvesting, but you'll also see patients pre and post-operatively on the floors. When the schedule allows, you may also spend a minority of time in the heart failure clinic to ensure continuity of care with your patients.

Team and Scope:
•    4 MDs + 4 NP/PAs
•    40% surgery, 40% Floor, 20% clinic/office
•    46% vascular, 37% cardiac, 17% thoracic
•    Surgery days begin at 6am, rounding days begin at 8am
•    Call coverage is 1/4 of the month, available by phone but rare for call-backs

Compensation:
Based strictly on experience, new grads start at a base of $140,000 while those with 30+ years can expect up to $190,000. A more accurate calculation based on your specific experience will be provided during your preliminary phone interview. 
•    + $10,000 sign-on bonus
•    + $5,000 relocation allowance
•    + $2,500 + 1 week CME allowance
•    + 401k match, full benefits, & PTO
•    + DEA, license, and malpractice paid

Requirements:
•    Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with surgical experience
•    Unrestricted license 
•    Experience First Assisting in OR required
•    Experience with CT patients required
•    Vein harvesting experience preferred
•    New graduates with requisite exposure welcomed to apply
