Position Overview
Geo Forward is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist I to join our Pasadena office. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in environmental science and engineering.
The position involves a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks , supporting projects such as environmental assessments, geological investigations, pollution and contamination remediation, and more.
This position does not entail remote work, nor does it entail a hybrid work schedule. This position entails attending work at the Pasadena office and/or job-sites (field).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field sampling activities (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and other environmental media)
- Schedule and set-up projects
- Maintain detailed field notes and documentation
- Prepare technical reports, figures, and data tables
- Work closely with project managers, geologists, and engineers
- Travel to project sites throughout Southern California as needed
- Assist with drilling oversight, well installation, and site investigations
- Support Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Perform site inspections, monitoring, and data collection
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree any science relative and practical to the environmental industry
- Valid California driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions (heat, cold, uneven terrain)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Punctuality
- Dependability
- Willingness to work overtime if/when required
