Software Engineer

Job Description The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and have a thorough understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, and defined SW development methodology. The successful candidate will be able to participate in all software life cycle activities including: planning, requirements analysis, design – architecture and detailed design, implementation, HW/SW integration, and verification/validation. A strong desire to learn, implement, and advocate for the use of defined SW development methodologies, such as MIL-STD-498 or J-STD-016 and the best practices contained therein, may offset a lack of the preferred knowledge and experience. The preferred technical knowledge and experience includes as many of the following as possible: VxWorks or other RTOS BSP Real‑time embedded SW PowerPC x86 processors Multi‑core and multi‑tasking techniques C/C++ Ada Assembly OpenGL MIL‑STD‑1553 UART RS232 Gigabit Ethernet PCI express Serial Rapid IO Fibre channel ClearCase/ClearQuest TeamView Competency in HW/SW integration in a lab environment Design and documentation skills including military development documents and methodology Control and Data Flow Diagrams Qualifications 8+ years of Software Engineering experience Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
