Specimen Accessioner

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Accessioner for its Overland Park laboratory facility. The role involves preparing, processing, and routing laboratory specimens in a high-throughput environment while maintaining accurate records and meeting departmental production targets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and unpack laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Accurately identify, label, and route specimens to appropriate staging areas
• Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
• Pack and ship specimens to designated testing facilities
• Resolve and document problem specimens according to protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
