This position is local to project sites and offers a hybrid work environment , combining field-based work with remote flexibility.This is an entry-level stormwater professional role and is a great fit for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute within a collaborative environment while making a positive impact on the environment.What You’ll DoSupport environmental and stormwater compliance projectsConduct stormwater inspections and field evaluationsDevelop and implement Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)Perform stormwater sampling and site monitoring activitiesComplete desktop evaluations and site assessmentsProvide on-site training and guidance to construction crewsPrepare documentation, reporting, and compliance recordsAssist clients with regulatory compliance and pollution prevention effortsCollaborate with internal teams on routine and complex projectsSupport additional initiatives and special projects as assignedTravel to project sites, including occasional overnight travel and extended hours as neededWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field0-2 years of experience in stormwater compliance or SWPPP-related workKnowledge of stormwater regulations, water quality practices, and environmental complianceExperience with inspection, sampling, and reporting processesFamiliarity with erosion control, site stabilization, and restoration practicesUnderstanding of California stormwater regulations and permitting (preferred)Strong communication skills and ability to train field teamsProficiency in documentation and compliance tracking systemsValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sitesNice to HaveQSP/QSD certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)Additional certifications (CESSWI, CPESC, CPSWQ, QISP, PE, PG)Experience with SMARTS and California Construction General PermitExposure to environmental permitting or natural resources workFamiliarity with industry tools such as ArcGISSalary Range:$50,000.00 - $60,000.00Benefits:Flexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
