Description Position summary: As a working team leader, you will be required to provide direction to the entire team while filling one of the roles on the crew. You will be expected to efficiently deploy personnel, participate in process improvements, Corrective actions, and comply with our manufacturing schedule while maintaining a safe and orderly workplace. You need to effectively communicate with your team as well as other shifts. Qualifications required: Supervisory experience is required Good communication and organizational skills Quality oriented Organized and thorough History of continuous improvement/ involvement Essential functions and responsibilities: Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities. Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, forms of control, and personnel requirements, implementing change. Success factors/job competencies: Show Leadership and constantly communicating with your team, especially Temporary workforce Make certain you and team members perform all daily duties in a safe manner and follow all company SOP's Make sure team is producing at an average of 75% efficiency on all machines Problem solving Identify areas of concern and come up with some ideas. Meet all company KPI's (key Performance Indicators) Physical demands and work environment: Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
