Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least one year of experience, active RN licensure, and night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility is strict with compliance deadlines and will not accommodate delayed start dates
