Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and DeliveryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery to join the Labor & Delivery team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, Washington. This opportunity is designed specifically for an RN with established, hands-on experience caring for patients in a Labor & Delivery environment.The RN will provide specialized nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate perinatal period while collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the maternal care team. This is an experienced L&D RN position and is not intended as an entry-level pathway into the specialty.Required QualificationsGraduation from an accredited nursing programCurrent Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hireCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hireCurrent American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification upon hireMinimum 1 year of professional RN experienceMinimum 1 year of RN experience specifically within a Labor & Delivery environmentLabor & Delivery clinical rotations completed during nursing school do not count toward the required L&D experienceLabor & Delivery residency program experience does not substitute for the required experienced-RN backgroundPreferred Qualifications1–2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experienceNational certification in the applicable nursing specialty upon hireStrong maternal-fetal assessment and clinical decision-making skillsExperience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Labor & Delivery teamIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least one full year of independent professional experience in an L&D setting. This role requires more than exposure to Labor & Delivery through nursing school clinical rotations or a residency program.
