Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1800 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, Foley insertion/management), PCA pumps, and medication gtt management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers are not preferred but will be considered.

Special Requests: - Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Emergency observation unit caring for patients with chest pain, syncope, and angina. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call. - Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Travel nurses float first to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands and may take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED). - Required to float per region needs to Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH [peds only]) as needed within scope of practice.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
