With 52 programs statewide, we create inclusive opportunities that help people of all abilities reach their full potential. About the RoleEasterseals is seeking a passionate and dedicated Float4Life Instructor to deliver life-saving drowning prevention services to children and families in our community. This role provides one-on-one, individualized float lessons at indoor and outdoor pool locations, with a focus on children including those with special needs. What We Offer:Live and on-demand Professional Development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) Savings PlanEasterseals Cares Wellness ProgramA culture that supports Work-Life BalanceThe opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community A snapshot of what you'll do:Deliver personalized Float4Life instruction using evidence-based techniquesManage a caseload of clients, including scheduling and service coordinationTrack progress and document milestones after each lessonCollaborate with families to support water safety and skill developmentMaintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free pool environment, including basic pool upkeep and equipment checksUse tools such as iPads, computers, and documentation systems to record servicesEnsure confidentiality and compliance with all privacy standardsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and assist with program needs as assignedWork actively in the water for extended periods (up to 5 hours), supporting and physically assisting children during instructionQualifications:CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (required)Experience working with young children, including those with special needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder)Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds and safely move in a pool environment (kneeling, crouching, reaching)Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting client progress and communicating with familiesValid Florida driver's license and reliable transportationFloat4Life Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)Previous aquatic instruction or therapy experience Easterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020 - 2025) by our employees!
