Sports Medicine Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) About the Position MedCBO is a Colorado-based healthcare business infrastructure company that empowers independent physician groups across the United States to launch, manage, and scale their practices. We provide a comprehensive Business‑in‑a‑Box platform that integrates revenue cycle management, accounting, human resources, EHR support, payer contracting, compliance, supply‑chain logistics, and data intelligence. We support physicians in establishing or transitioning into an independently operated medical practice. Physicians own and operate their practice entity, while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. This is not an employed physician position. Overview Physicians govern clinical operations, make clinical decisions, and set patient care policies independently. MedCBO does not direct patient care but supplies the infrastructure needed for clinical practice ownership. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice. Financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions. Results are not guaranteed.
