Alta Mira Recovery  is a luxury residential rehabilitation center offering comfort, compassion, and world-class clinical care to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Alta Mira offers a comprehensive set of services that promote health and healing for the body, mind and soul, including: evidence-based individual and group therapy; relapse prevention, 12-step recovery; family and couples therapy; massage; acupuncture; personal training; yoga; spiritual counseling; art and equine-assisted therapy to name a few.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the supervisor.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
• Checks for and reports potential hazards or breaches of security plans while in the workplace or in the field.
• Encourages and supports others to be safe while at work.
• Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices that could affect individuals served, staff, and other people coming to the organization’s facilities.
• Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality; monitor documents according to company and HIPAA policies
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Exhibit excellent customer service.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Team oriented with an ability to collaborate with all kitchen and management staff.
• Demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Candidates must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Candidates must pass a 10 panel drug screen which includes Marijuana.

Compensation range for the Cook role is $22-27 / hr.

The range provided is for California based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CA may differ based on the cost of living in that geographic location.
