We are seeking a Senior Materials and Chemistry Engineer with a strong background in chemical analysis, materials characterization and fluid / material interactions to drive innovation in liquid cooled server architectures and cooling infrastructure. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements5+ years of experience in chemical analysis and materials characterizationHands-on experience with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), electrochemical analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) or similar techniquesUnderstanding of corrosion mechanisms, coolant chemistry, fluid/material compatibility, coatings and surface-treatement methodsProven success collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teamsExcellent communication skills, problem-solving ability and technical documentationDesiredUndergraduate degree in related engineering degree (materials, mechanical, etc.) Background in direct-to-chip liquid cooling, metallurgical principles and metal-joining methods (e.g., welding, brazing)CompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
