What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a high-acuity setting
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions like cardiac arrhythmias, respiratory failure, and post-surgical needs
• Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (approval required for some)
• Support patient stabilization during acute events such as strokes and CVAs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist services
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for charting and documentation
• Provide patient education and support discharge planning as needed

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Preferred skills: Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, lumbar drains
• Key skills: Critical thinking, teamwork, adaptability, strong communication
