Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and CT/compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite of a short-term acute care hospital with two cath labs
• Adult patient population with common diagnoses including Coronary Artery Disease, Myocardial Infarction, Unstable Angina, Aortic/Mitral Valve Disease, and Peripheral Vascular Disease
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations, stent implants, IABP, Impella, EKOS, Rotablator, IVUS, FFR, Penumbra, Pericardiocentesis, Shockwave, and IVC filters
• TEEs and Cardioversions performed in the department, with TAVRs and MitraClips performed in conjunction with the hybrid OR
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required 6-9 days per month, including weekday call from 5:15 PM to 7:00 AM and 24-hour weekend call
• Cath lab is open 24/7 for cardiac emergencies
• Float to Milford Campus as needed
• EPIC charting system preferred
• Level II Trauma Center

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience circulating procedures, interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, and monitoring procedural sedation
• Proficient in procedural sedation administration/monitoring and IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• Scrubs provided for this role

• Local candidates not accepted unless residing more than 75 miles from the hospital site
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
