RV Body Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic assessments and execute repairs or replacements on coach bodies, including fiberglass repair, painting, tinting, welding (steel and aluminum), and decal installation.
• Document all diagnostic tests, repairs, and replacement services accurately.
• Track and manage materials used in repairs or replacements, ensuring efficient inventory usage.
• Communicate work progress to supervisors and ensure all completed work meets established quality standards.
• Calculate and order necessary paint, abrasives, and other body shop materials as needed.
• Prepare labor cost estimates for repair projects.
• Safely use ladders and adhere to all safety protocols in the workshop.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for both customers and co-workers.
• Lift up to 25 pounds independently and move up to 50 pounds with assistive devices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to seven years of related experience in coach body repair, including body and paint processes.
• Proficiency in fiberglass repair, painting, tinting, welding (steel and aluminum), and decal installation.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to comprehend complex technical topics.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.
• Must provide own hand and shop tools.
• Professional certification in body repair or related field preferred.
• Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors, on weekends or shifts, and in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, wetness).
