Supervisor, Transportation

Overview Direct and coordinate the dedicated delivery operations at the distribution center, supervising delivery drivers, managing routes, ensuring DOT and Hazardous Material compliance, and overseeing fleet maintenance. Responsibilities Lead, direct, and train the delivery driver team. Ensure compliance with safety, hazmat, and DOT requirements. Manage routes to achieve cost‑efficient delivery operations. Oversee routine vehicle inspections and maintain proper records. Coach and develop delivery drivers, including accompanying drivers on routes for evaluation. Work Environment Works primarily in a comfortable environment but may be exposed to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes, and making repetitive movements such as using a 10‑key or calculator, bending, or squatting. Travel may be required overnight less than 10% of the time. Education and Experience Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field; certification may be required. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
