Speech-Language Pathologist

Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting patients across all ages in a collaborative healthcare team near Monterey, California. The role involves assessment, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based intervention to improve communication and swallowing function. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess referred patients for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations and patient/family goals.
• Administer evidence-based interventions.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Monitor outcomes and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff on treatment plans and therapeutic techniques.
• Assist patients in achieving independence and functional communication.
• Maintain efficient, high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Mentor new employees and volunteers as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Adhere to hospital safety policies, regulatory standards, and professional practice guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current California Speech-Language Pathology License, or temporary license with commitment to obtain permanent within one year.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
