Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will assist physicians and cath lab personnel in conducting procedures, operate imaging and hemodynamic equipment, prepare the lab and supplies, maintain sterile technique, and contribute to accurate procedure documentation and patient safety. This position supports advanced procedures including structural heart cases, IABP, Impella, and LVAD when required, and serves as a resource and preceptor for junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab required.
• One of the following certifications required: RCIS (CCI), RCES (CCI), RCS (CCI), Radiography (R) by ARRT, Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) by ARRT, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) by ARRT, Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT, RDMS Abdomen (AB), RDMS OB/GYN, RDCS Adult Echocardiography (AE), or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
• PALS certification required to work or perform independently at pediatric facilities.
• Experience with cath lab imaging and equipment such as IVUS, ICE, contrast injectors, hemodynamic systems, IABP, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and LVAD support preferred.
• Ability to adhere to aseptic technique, radiation safety practices, and accurate procedure documentation.
• Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a healthcare-related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a preceptor or mentor to Technicians/Technologists I.
• Previous experience supporting structural heart procedures and advanced cath lab technology.
• Familiarity with unit-based councils, process improvement initiatives, or Magnet-related collaborative care models.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 07:0015:00.
• Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
• Weekend requirement: weekend coverage as scheduled (example start 07:3015:30 for some weekend assignments).
