Position Description

The Shipping Coordinator supports the mission of Anchor Fabrication Kansas by supporting the production workflow through proper and adequate distribution of incoming materials and products.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Analyzes incoming product and 'Available to Ship' report to plan shipments.
• Utilizes ERP system to confirm correct job and customer order are used when posting parts and preparing pack slips.
• Confirms job paperwork is appropriately completed before processing.
• Utilizes ERP system to prepare packing slips and associated shipping documents.
• Prepares products for shipping by stabilizing products to reduce the possibility of being damaged during delivery.
• Maintains adequate records of all items shipped.
• Submits shipping paperwork to the accounting department.
• Works closely with customer service and production to insure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Assists customers with orders being picked up.
• Provides great customer service when assisting truck drivers.
• Loads, unloads, and moves products into inventory.
• Operates forklift to move parts, pallets, and load trucks.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Assists in arranging transportation as required.
• Assists in providing direction for department with guidance from manager.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school education or the equivalent, required.
• 3-5 years of Shipping or Receiving experience, required.
• 1-3 years of Forklift experience, preferred.
• 1-3 years of Manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Previous experience with MS Office Suite.
• Must possess high organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

• Frequent bending, squatting and twisting, required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Normal office environment.
• Exposure to shop environment.

Other:

• Working more than 40 hours per week may be required to complete company deliverables.
