Job Responsibilities
- Design Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' requirements and craft individualized therapy strategies that help them attain their life goals.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based treatment methods aimed at improving motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily life skills.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work alongside fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide integrated, comprehensive care.
- Guide Patients and Families: Educate patients and their guardians on therapeutic techniques to foster sustained progress outside of clinical settings.
- Document and Evaluate Progress: Track patient developments and modify treatment plans as necessary to guarantee they remain on their path to success.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Encouraged to pursue continuing education and additional certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification necessary
- A genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their fullest potential for independence
- Compelling and empathetic communication skills for engaging with both patients and team members
- Creative problem-solving abilities to adapt treatment to diverse needs
- Confidence to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a close-knit, multidisciplinary environment
