Power Platform Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer to design, develop, and support Power Platform and SharePoint solutions that streamline business processes, improve collaboration, and enhance information management across the agency. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, develop applications and automated workflows, and support SharePoint Online environments. The position will operate under the guidance of the Microsoft 365 Senior Administrator and adhere to established governance, security standards, best practices, and project priorities. The pay range for this role is $30-$40/hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).

• Build and support automated workflows and business process solutions using Power Automate.

• Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.

• Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, SQL Server, APIs, and other enterprise systems.

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and digital solutions.

• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Support and troubleshoot Power Platform applications, workflows, and integrations.

• Administer and support SharePoint Online environments, including sites, lists, libraries, permissions, metadata, and content management structures.

• Assist with SharePoint migrations, site configuration, user support, and adoption of best practices.

• Manage Power Platform environments, deployments, connections, and solution lifecycle activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and support materials.

• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate functionality and validate requirements.

• Provide user training and technical support for Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and agency personnel to deliver technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Skills and Requirements

Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Dataverse.

Experience designing and implementing workflow automation and business process improvement solutions.

Knowledge of SharePoint administration, including lists, libraries, permissions, metadata, content types, and information architecture.

Experience integrating Microsoft technologies with databases, APIs, and other enterprise applications.

Ability to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience supporting applications through development, testing, deployment, and production environments.

Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Azure.

Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

Experience with SQL Server, REST APIs, and enterprise application integrations.

Knowledge of Power Platform environment management, governance, and deployment practices.

Experience supporting government, public safety, law enforcement, or other large enterprise environments.

Familiarity with SharePoint migrations and modernization initiatives.

Experience creating technical documentation, process flows, and solution architecture diagrams.

Understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, security, and compliance best practices.
