Director Of NursingThe Director of Nursing (DON) is an administrative leadership position responsible for oversight of the College's Nursing programs, including accreditation, curriculum, compliance, faculty support, clinical partnerships, and student success.Essential Duties Or ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and primary responsibilities below are intended to describe the general requirements of this job and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Other related duties which may be required by the Vice President of Academic Affairs (duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are generally within the occupational series and responsibility level associated with the employee's class of work).Leadership & AdministrationProvide strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and operational direction for Nursing programs and pathways.Hire, supervise, support, and evaluate Nursing faculty and staff.Participate in institutional planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.Represent the College in professional and community organizations.Develop, manage, and oversee Nursing program budgets, resources, and operational planning.Curriculum & InstructionCoordinate curriculum development and program assessment.Coordinate instructional schedules and clinical placements.Oversee Kaplan or other testing systems.Compliance & AccreditationEnsure compliance with ACEN, IDFPR, IDPH, ICCB, and related agencies.Serve as the official liaison for accreditation, regulatory reporting, program approval, and compliance-related activities associated with Nursing programs.Student Success & EngagementPromote student success, retention, graduation, and NCLEX/licensure achievement.Maintain relationships with healthcare agencies and community partners.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications – Education and ExperienceMaster's degree in Nursing requiredCurrent, unencumbered Illinois RN license or eligibility for licensureMinimum of three years of leadership, administrative, accreditation, curriculum, clinical coordination, or faculty supervisory experience in Nursing education or related healthcare education.Demonstrated knowledge of Nursing accreditation and regulatory compliancePreferred QualificationsDoctorate in Nursing, Education, Leadership, or related fieldCommunity college leadership experienceExperience with ACEN accreditation and Illinois nursing program approval processes.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to foster collaborationKnowledge of Nursing education trends and regulatory requirementsCommitment to student success and continuous improvement.Required Supplemental DocumentationPlease submit the following documents with your application.
