Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector role is responsible for performing inspection to all products and ensure they meet the quality standards per customer requirement before they are delivered. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspects finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment and assemblies of a complex nature and determines acceptance or rejectionPerforms inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment as materials are received from operators, vendors, or subcontractors.Examine plans, engineering documents, part lists, drawings, etc. to determine product parameters.Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and traceability in accordance with AS9100 and internal quality system requirementsUnderstand Solid model CAD and Experience with Verisurf software. Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reportsVerify first article inspection and/or in-process inspection samples to the full requirements of drawings.Generate and process nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause and corrective action activitiesAssist in the training of less experienced inspectors.Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Adapts to changes in the work environment; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.Ensure all inspection activities comply with 6S, safety, and housekeeping standards to promote a clean and organized work environmentExposure to manufacturing environments including moving machinery, cutting fluids, metal shavings, vibration, and varying noise levels from moderate to loudAlways Work safely and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your supervisor or Manager immediately.Performs all other duties as assigned.Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:2+years college preferred; combination of education and work experience may be equivalent.Preferred Experience: Programs/Operates Faro Arm (Articulating Arm), or similar, using Verisurf SoftwareHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and three years related experience.Must have 3+ years aerospace manufacturing metal experience.2+ years manufacturing quality control inspection experience; CQI designation a plus.Possesses good reading and math skills.Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.Basic computer skills; knowledge of MS Office and Excel.Ability to read, understand, and apply contractual requirements, standards, specifications, blueprints, mylars, job travelers, governmental regulations, or technical procedures.Have a positive attitude when working with internal and external customers in the workplace.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables in work situations.Ability to work as a team in fast paced production environment and cross-training duties.Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
