Acute Care Occupational Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 4x10 hours (Monday-Thursday, 08:00 AM - 06:30 PM)

Job Description

The Acute Care Occupational Therapist will provide therapy services to patients in an acute care setting, focusing on rehabilitation techniques and strategies to promote recovery and improve functional ability. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments of patients to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and techniques to aid in patient rehabilitation.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy and care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care for each patient.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current Arizona OT License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience with manual therapy is preferred.
